I’ve been reviewing American comics a while now on read/RANT, though I’ve kept from manga. Kind of odd really, considering I’ve been reading manga far longer than comics. Maybe I should keep it up, but for now I’ll just do a quick review of Naruto’s latest chapter – 586.

This originally started up for a comment to my fellow read/RANT author, Cal’s “This week in comics” review. Thing is, it ended up a bit long for a comment, so I thought I’d post my feelings so far with the “Night of the Owls” crossover event.
So the Legend of Korra just aired it’s fourth episode last Saturday, and well I thought I’d watch through the original series and pull out my top 10 moments of the original. Frankly, I actually tried to finish watching all three seasons before episode 1 of Korra aired, but between a busy last few weeks and narrowing it down from 20 moments to 10, well it took longer than I hoped. So may as well get to it…
So after the midnight showing of The Hunger Games, I was walking through a clearly energetic crowd as I made way to the exit. General consensus and the vibe I got was that people were pleased, even so I often picked up people making comments about differences from the book that the movie just didn’t get right, or did not get at all. Now I know everything doesn’t relate to the big screen – especially with a book written in first person – but even so, I couldn’t help but agree. Add in that I literally just finished the book a few days ago, I figured I would do a comparison. If you haven’t read the book or seen the movie, expect some spoilers…
So Lebeau’s recent list of Top 10 Best Super Hero Movies made me start thinking about not just my favorite movies, but my favorite actors/actresses as superheroes.
